Categories
Creative work may be submitted in the following SHORT FILM awarded categories:
Formats
The work may originate on any of the following formats: 35mm, 16mm, HD, DV, DigiBeta, or Beta SP. An exception may be made for outstanding experimental work done on VHS. However, for the purposes of screening at the festival, we will require you to transfer work originating on video to either DV or Beta SP.
FILMS are screened ONLY from video (DV or Beta SP or DVD). Please do not send prints.
Shorts and Documentaries are screened ONLY from video (DV or Beta SP) or DVD. Please do not send prints.
Selection and Deadlines
To submit work for the festival, please send a VHS (PAL/NTSC) or DVD screener of your film along with the Entry Form
to the address given below.
Along with the DVD screener, you must also submit a MiniDV or DV Cam projection copy. You may submit BETA SP or DIGI BETA projection copies.
If you wish your film returned, a small return fee will be charged.
Please submit 2 stills from the film, a photograph of the director, and a brief (max 50 word) synopsis of your upcoming project.

Eligibility
Films should have been produced after August 2007. There are no restrictions on previous screenings of submitted work at other festivals or its broadcast; however preference will be given to work premiering at the Festival.
Fees
There is a $25.00 CDN entry fee.
Judging
The best entries in each category will be awarded prizes judged by a panel of eminent personalities including filmmakers and critics, the composition of which will be announced prior to the festival. Special recognition may also be awarded, at the discretion of the judges.

All filmmakers recieve a confirmation letter upon receipt of their films. Selected filmmakers will be notified by Wednesday July 2nd.
